Loss & Mechanical.

4th June 2014

It is through our senses that we interact with our environment, through a continuous feedback loop of input and output we build up our understanding of the world and our place in it. This event would attempt to understand more about the human senses and perception by exploring how people manage and adapt when their sensory experience is changed by accident or other means. The discussion will bring in a reconsidered understanding of what our senses can become with the advancement of communication technologies that allow us to move beyond the time and space, as well as a discussion of the ‘extended body’ through prosthetics.
